Gremlins in the Toilet

Okay, so I have made a decision, I want to write about my childhood, and I think it could be really fun! I have been reading over and over lately Allie Brosh's very creative blog much of which is about her childhood, and I truly enjoy how she writes and illustrates her pictures making it a very pleasureful read!  So I want to write and illustrate my blogs as well similar to hers, just my own personal stories.  This will be interesting to see how it happens, and what comes of it but heck, here goes nothing!

Now I've never had a fears of having scary monsters in my closet, my monsters lived in weird places, like the bathroom mirror, and the toilet, they also lived under the bed like normal people's monsters, but for some reason the bathroom was the place of dwelling for the really bad ones.  I had to think long and hard about why this was so...

Scary movies did this to me!

Instead of...

I got...

I truly enjoy watching scary movies, it is something that gets my adrenaline pumping and I feel as if I handle them quite well.  It has always been this way, my brother and sister are six and eight years older than me making me the youngest by a stretch.

My first scary movie was awful!  All I really remember about it was the death man who came out of the mirror in the bathroom and killed EVERYONE!  This of course did not settle too well with my 7 year old mind!

Now that the death man lived in our mirror at our house, my first task was to figure out how to spend as few minutes as possible in the restroom. We also watched a movie about this doll that came to life and tried to kill it's owner while killing everyone else in the process, which made me freak out of course, and their was this one scene when the stupid doll was under the bed and got the little boy, and so from now on, this doll lived under my bed...  GREAT!

So because of this, I had to figure out new ways of getting into bed, because getting anywhere close for the monster to grab me was, NOT going to happen!

Making the realization you didn't make it...

And scrambling for your life to safety!

You've made it! But now have a decision to make...
How much do you REALLY want that blanket?

Weighing hypothermia against being eaten alive...
